I. Introduction
KFactory is a trusted international deep-tech partner dedicated to driving digital transformation and operational excellence across a diverse range of critical sectors. We empower organisations in Manufacturing, Aerospace, Retail and Distribution, Logistics & Supply Chain, Field Services, Energy and Utilities, Consumer Goods, and Construction & Infrastructure by connecting industry leaders, technology providers, and research institutions to accelerate innovation.
As a global technology catalyst, we foster collaboration across local and regional networks to build sustainable digital ecosystems. Within these varied industries, equity and equality are fundamental principles that guide our activities. By ensuring conformity with European standards of work and enhancing employee well-being, KFactory promotes equality at every level, with a strong emphasis on gender equality.
KFactory integrates gender equality as a core organisational value, recognising that diversity - encompassing cultural background, gender, age, religion, nationality, sexual orientation, and functional ability - is the engine of innovation in the tech space. While we have made significant progress in promoting equal opportunities, we acknowledge that proactive efforts are necessary to achieve full gender equality across all the verticals we serve.
In line with European recommendations, KFactory's Gender Equality Plan (GEP) is grounded on the following principles:
- Equality - Every individual has equal rights and must be treated equally.
- Equity - Every person should be treated fairly, impartially, and with dignity.
- Responsiveness - All gender-related issues will be addressed promptly.
- Tolerance - Diversity of perspectives and experiences is respected without discrimination.
- Transparency - Information regarding gender equality will be public and accessible.
The GEP will be implemented over a 3.5-year period (2025-2028) through four phases:
II. Definitions
Gender Equality
At KFactory, gender equality means ensuring equal rights, responsibilities, and opportunities for all employees. It does not imply that all individuals must become the same, but that their opportunities will not be determined by gender. We regard gender equality as a prerequisite for sustainable, people-centered development across all our business verticals.
Gender
Refers to the socially constructed roles and expectations associated with being male or female. At KFactory, we recognise that these constructs must be addressed to ensure fairness in technical and leadership roles across the industries we influence.
Gender-Based Violence
Any harmful act directed at an individual because of their gender. KFactory maintains a zero-tolerance policy toward harassment and intimidation in accordance with our Code of Conduct.
Gender Sensitivity
The awareness of gender differences and inequalities in decision-making. At KFactory, this means ensuring our policies and technologies support an inclusive environment for everyone, whether in an office, a factory floor, a retail hub, or a construction site.
III. Legislative Framework
KFactory's GEP is aligned with:
- European Commission's Gender Equality Strategy 2020-2025
- European Pact for Gender Equality (Council Conclusions, 2011)
- Romania's National Strategy for Equality of Chances (ANES - National Agency for Equality of Chances)
IV. Goal
To integrate gender equality into KFactory's organisational culture, decision-making, and innovation processes, ensuring fairness, safety, and inclusion across all operational sectors.
V. Objectives and Measures
KFactory's gender-equality objectives are organised across four core areas:
- Data collection - gender-disaggregated metrics on hiring, promotion, pay and retention.
- Training and awareness - regular programmes on unconscious bias, inclusive leadership, and gender sensitivity.
- Inclusive hiring and promotion - balanced shortlists, structured interviews, and transparent career pathways.
- Zero-tolerance policies - clear procedures to prevent and address harassment, intimidation and gender-based violence.
Detailed implementation measures, KPIs, and monitoring procedures across sections V-VIII are documented in the internal version of this Plan and available on request via office@kfactory.ai.
